Main Ingredients:
- 2 Apples (Pink Lady recommended)
- 1 teaspoon Butter, melted
- 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
Topping Ingredients:
- 1/3 cup Old Fashioned / Rolled Oats
- 1 tablespoon Butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon Maple Syrup (or honey or rice malt syrup)
- 1 teaspoon Wholemeal / Whole Wheat Flour (or almond meal or all-purpose flour)
- 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
Instructions
- Prepare the Apples: Cut apples in half through the stem and remove the core, stem, and seeds. Brush a teaspoon of melted butter over the cut sides of the apples and sprinkle with cinnamon.
- Make the Topping: Combine oats, melted butter, maple syrup, flour, and cinnamon in a small bowl. Spoon the mixture evenly on top of the apple halves.
- Cook in the Air Fryer: Carefully place the apple halves in the air fryer basket and cook at 180C / 350F for 15 minutes or until softened.
- Serve: Enjoy the baked apples warm, topped with ice cream or cream if desired.

- You can customize the topping by adding nuts or dried fruits for extra flavor and texture.
