Ingredients

Units Scale

Air Fryer:

  • 2 cups of sliced dill pickles
  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon of garlic powder

Oven Directions:

  • 2 cups of sliced dill pickles
  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon of garlic powder

Deep Fried:

  • 2 cups of sliced dill pickles
  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon of garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Air Fryer: Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Mix flour and spices in a shallow bowl. Dip sliced pickles into the flour mixture, ensuring an even coating. Arrange coated pickles in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Spray pickles with cooking spray or drizzle lightly with olive oil. Air fry at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 5 minutes. Flip the pickles over and spray with cooking spray. Continue air frying for an additional 5 minutes or until golden and crispy. Remove from the air fryer and serve immediately.
  2. Oven Directions: Preheat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit. Mix flour and spices in a shallow bowl. Dip each pickle slice into the flour mixture, ensuring it is evenly coated. Place the coated pickles in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Lightly spray the tops of the pickles with cooking spray. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy. Remove from the oven and serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.
  3. Deep Fried: Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Mix flour and spices in a shallow bowl. Dip each pickle slice into the flour mixture, ensuring it is evenly coated. Carefully lower the coated pickles into the hot oil using tongs or a slotted spoon, working in batches to avoid overcrowding. Fry the pickles for 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Using a slotted spoon, remove the fried pickles from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the flour mixture.
  • These fried pickles are best enjoyed immediately for the ultimate crunch.
  • Experiment with different pickle varieties for unique flavor profiles.
