Ingredients

Units Scale

Banana Donut Holes:

  • 1 large banana, mashed (about 1/2 cup)
  • 3/4 cup self-rising flour

Coating:

  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons melted coconut oil or melted vegan butter
  • To work the dough/knead:
  • 23 teaspoons melted coconut oil

Instructions

  1. Mash the banana: Into a smooth puree to get 1/2 cup.
  2. Add flour: Stir together to form lumps.
  3. Knead the dough: With slightly oiled hands, form a sticky, moist dough ball.
  4. Shape the dough: Roll into balls, place on parchment paper-lined plate.
  5. Air fry: Spray oil in basket, air fry at 350°F (180°C) for 6-7 minutes until golden.
  6. Coat with cinnamon sugar: Brush warm balls with coconut oil, then roll in cinnamon sugar.
  7. Serve: Warm immediately.

Notes

  • Be careful not to overwork the dough or add too much flour.
  • Adjust sugar and cinnamon to taste for the coating.
