Description

These Christmas Tree Cake Truffles transform Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes into festive, bite-sized treats perfect for holiday celebrations. Coated in creamy white chocolate and decorated with red candy drizzle and green sanding sugar, these truffles are both delightful to eat and beautiful to display.

Ingredients

Scale

Base

  • 1 box Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes (5 cakes)
  • 3 tablespoons Festive sprinkles

Coating

  • 8 ounces white chocolate or candy melts

Decoration

  • 3 tablespoons red candy melts (optional, for drizzling)
  • Green sanding sugar for decoration

Instructions

  1. Prepare Cake Mixture: Unwrap the Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes and place them in a large bowl. Using a handheld mixer, blend the cakes until the mixture becomes crumbly dough. Stir in the festive sprinkles thoroughly to incorporate them evenly.
  2. Form Cake Balls: Using a tablespoon, scoop portions of the cake dough and roll each between the palms of your hands to form smooth balls. Place the formed cake balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Continue until all mixture is used.
  3. Melt White Chocolate: Melt the white chocolate or candy melts either in a microwave-safe bowl in the microwave in short increments or using a double boiler until smooth.
  4. Coat Cake Balls: Using a fork or dipping tool, dip each chilled cake ball completely into the melted white chocolate. Allow any excess chocolate to drip off before returning the truffles to the baking sheet.
  5. Melt Red Candy Melts: Melt the red candy melts in a piping bag or ziplock bag in the microwave by heating in 30-second intervals, massaging the bag between to ensure full melting.
  6. Decorate Truffles: Snip the corner of the bag and drizzle the melted red candy melts over the coated truffles. Immediately sprinkle with green sanding sugar. Place the truffles in the fridge for a few minutes to allow the coating and decorations to set.
  7. Serve: Enjoy your festive Christmas Tree Cake Truffles chilled for the best texture and flavor.

Notes

  • Ensure the cake balls are well chilled before dipping to help the coating set properly.
  • Use parchment paper to prevent sticking during coating and setting.
  • The red candy melts drizzle is optional but adds a festive color contrast.
  • If you prefer, you can substitute candy melts with high-quality white chocolate and colored chocolate or candy coatings.
  • Store truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
