Description

A creamy and refreshing Greek Yogurt Jello dessert combining the fruity flavor of strawberry gelatin with the rich texture of Greek yogurt. This easy-to-make recipe requires minimal prep time and is perfect for a light dessert or snack, topped optionally with whipped cream and fresh fruit for an extra touch.

Ingredients

Scale

Jello Mixture

  • 1 box (6 oz) strawberry Jello gelatin (or your favorite flavor)
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup cold water

Greek Yogurt Mixture

  • 2 cups Greek yogurt (whole milk preferred, vanilla or plain)

Optional Garnishes

  • Whipped cream or Cool Whip whipped topping
  • Fresh strawberries for garnish

Instructions

  1. Dissolve Jello: In a large bowl, pour the gelatin powder and add the boiling water. Stir continuously for about two minutes until the gelatin is completely dissolved.
  2. Combine with Greek Yogurt: Whisk in the Greek yogurt thoroughly, making sure it is fully incorporated and the mixture is smooth without lumps.
  3. Add Cold Water: Pour in the cold water and give the mixture a gentle stir to blend evenly.
  4. Pour and Chill: Transfer the combined mixture into eight individual serving dishes (about 6 oz each) or a single medium bowl. Cover the dish or dishes with plastic wrap or lids and refrigerate until the Jello is fully set, approximately 4 hours or overnight for best results.
  5. Serve with Toppings: Before serving, optionally add whipped cream or Cool Whip on top and garnish with fresh strawberries or your choice of decorative toppings.
  6. Store Leftovers: Cover and store any leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 5 days to maintain freshness and texture.

Notes

  • You can use two 3 oz boxes of Jello instead of one 6 oz box, or substitute with sugar-free Jello to reduce sugar content.
  • Whole milk Greek yogurt yields the creamiest texture, but plain or non-fat Greek yogurt can be used according to preference.
  • Alternative garnishes such as sprinkles, chopped nuts, or fresh mint leaves can add variety and extra flavor.
