Description

This Easy Apple Cider Chai, also known as Chaider, is a warm and cozy beverage that combines the sweet tang of apple cider with the spicy warmth of chai tea concentrate. Perfect for chilly days, it’s quick to prepare and can be customized with whipped cream and caramel drizzle for an indulgent treat.

Ingredients

Scale

Base

  • 3/4 cup apple cider
  • 3/4 cup chai tea concentrate

Optional Toppings

  • Whipped cream, to serve
  • Caramel drizzle, to serve

Optional Spices for Steeping

  • Cinnamon stick
  • Other whole spices (such as cloves, cardamom pods, star anise)

Instructions

  1. Combine Liquids: Pour 3/4 cup apple cider and 3/4 cup chai tea concentrate into a small saucepan for heating.
  2. Warm Mixture: Place the saucepan over medium heat and warm the liquids gently. If desired, add a cinnamon stick and other whole spices to the mixture while it heats.
  3. Steep Spices (Optional): For an extra spicy chai flavor, allow the mixture with whole spices to steep for at least 5 minutes, letting flavors fully infuse.
  4. Strain and Serve: Remove the saucepan from heat and strain the chaider to remove any whole spices. Pour the warm beverage into a mug.
  5. Garnish (Optional): Top with a dollop of whipped cream and drizzle caramel sauce over it. Sprinkle ground cinnamon on top for an extra special finishing touch.

Notes

  • Adjust steeping time to control the intensity of the chai spices according to your taste preference.
  • Use fresh, high-quality chai tea concentrate for the best flavor.
  • Optional toppings add sweetness and creaminess but can be omitted for a lighter drink.
  • This recipe can be easily doubled or tripled to serve more guests.
  • Ensure to strain out all whole spices before serving to avoid any bites of spice.
