Instructions
- Prepare the Fruit: Chop the apples into bite-sized pieces and slice the orange into rounds or half-moons. Place all the fruit into a large pitcher to create the base of your sangria.
- Add the Spices and Liquids: Toss in the cinnamon sticks for warmth and spice. Pour in the brandy, wine, orange juice, and apple cider. Use a long spoon to stir everything gently, ensuring the flavors begin to mingle.
- Chill to Marry Flavors: Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 3 hours, though allowing it to chill for up to 4 hours or longer will enhance the depth of flavors and let the cinnamon infuse fully.
- Serve: Remove the cinnamon sticks before serving if desired. Pour the sangria into glasses and optionally rim the glasses with cinnamon sugar for an extra seasonal touch. Enjoy chilled.
Notes
- You can rim your glasses with cinnamon sugar to add an extra sweet and spicy touch. To do this, dip the rim of each glass in orange juice or water, then press it into a plate of cinnamon sugar before pouring the sangria.
- For a lighter option, substitute the brandy with sparkling water or use a white wine instead of red.
- Make the sangria a day ahead for even better flavor infusion.
