For the Mongolian Noodles:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup hoisin sauce
  • 2/3 cup beef broth
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 16 oz box of linguine, spaghetti, or rice noodles
  • green onion, optional

Instructions

  1. Boil Water and Cook Pasta: Start water to boil and cook the pasta according to the box instructions.
  2. Brown Ground Beef: In a large skillet, brown the ground beef. Drain and return to skillet.
  3. Prepare Sauce: Add soy sauce, hoisin sauce, beef broth, brown sugar, ginger, garlic, red pepper flakes, and black pepper to the skillet with the beef. Stir until combined.
  4. Combine Noodles and Sauce: Add drained noodles to the skillet with the sauce. Stir to coat the noodles.
