Description

This One-Pan Skillet Lasagna is a quick and easy twist on the classic dish, perfect for a busy weeknight dinner. Layers of lasagna noodles, seasoned ground beef, and three types of cheese come together in a single skillet for a delicious meal the whole family will love.

  • 1/2 lb lean ground beef
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 9 lasagna noodles (not the no-boil variety)
  • 1 cup ricotta
  • 1/4 cup parmesan, freshly grated
  • 1 cup mozzarella, grated
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Skillet: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned.
  2. Add Flavor: Stir in minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Make the Sauce: Add marinara sauce, water, and Italian seasoning. Break lasagna noodles into pieces and stir into the sauce.
  4. Simmer: Bring to a boil, then cover and simmer for about 15 minutes until noodles are tender, stirring occasionally.
  5. Prepare the Cheese Mixture: In a small bowl, combine ricotta and Parmesan, season with salt and pepper.
