Description

Pigs In A Blanket are a classic appetizer featuring mini cocktail wieners wrapped in flaky crescent roll dough, baked to a golden perfection and optionally served with a tangy mayo-honey mustard dipping sauce. This easy-to-make finger food is perfect for parties, game days, or casual snacking.

Ingredients

Scale

Pigs In A Blanket

  • All-purpose flour, for surface
  • 1 (8-oz.) tube crescent rolls
  • 1 (12-oz.) package mini cocktail wieners
  • 4 Tbsp. melted unsalted butter
  • Coarse salt

Mayo-Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce (optional)

  • 1/2 cup mayo
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 2 Tbsp. honey
  • 1 Tbsp. lime juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare Dough: Preheat oven to 375ºF. On a lightly floured surface, unroll crescent roll sheets and tear along the perforations. Cut each large triangle into three smaller triangles.
  2. Wrap Wieners: Place one mini cocktail wiener on the thick side of each small dough triangle, then gently roll it toward the thinner side to fully encase the wiener.
  3. Arrange and Season: Transfer the wrapped wieners to a medium baking sheet. Brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle with coarse salt for flavor and a golden crust.
  4. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven until the crescent rolls are golden brown and cooked through, about 12 to 15 minutes. Remove from oven and serve warm.
  5. Optional Sauce Preparation: In a small bowl, whisk together mayo, Dijon mustard, honey, and lime juice until well combined. Serve alongside the pigs in a blanket as a dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Use all-purpose flour lightly to prevent dough from sticking while rolling out.
  • Adjust baking time depending on oven variances; watch for a golden brown crust.
  • For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne to the dipping sauce.
  • These can be made ahead and reheated briefly before serving.
