Description

These Melted Snowman Cookie Dough Bites are adorable no-bake treats combining creamy edible cookie dough coated in smooth white chocolate ganache, topped with cute Oreo hats and festive sprinkles. Perfect for holiday parties or fun winter-themed snacks, these bite-sized desserts bring joy with minimal effort.

Ingredients

Scale

Cookie Dough

  • 2 cups store-bought or homemade edible cookie dough

Decorations & Assembly

  • 9 mini Oreos
  • 18 Rolo chocolate candies
  • 18 snowflake sprinkles (optional)
  • Black pearl sprinkles, for decorating
  • Orange pearl sprinkles, for decorating

Ganache

  • 2 cups (240 g) white chocolate chips
  • 2 Tbsp. coconut oil

Instructions

  1. Freeze Cookie Dough: Portion cookie dough into 1-Tbsp. scoops on a parchment-lined baking sheet to make 18 pieces. Freeze the dough until very firm, about 10 to 15 minutes.
  2. Prepare Oreos: Separate the mini Oreos and carefully scrape off the frosting from each one, setting the cookie halves aside. Enjoy the scraped-off frosting as a snack if desired.
  3. Melt Ganache: In a medium heatproof bowl, microwave the white chocolate chips and coconut oil in 15-second increments, stirring well between each, until the mixture is smooth and fully melted. This usually takes about 45 seconds to 1 minute total.
  4. Create Ganache Rounds: Spoon 18 rounds of ganache, approximately 1-inch in diameter, onto another parchment-lined baking sheet. These will serve as the bases for the cookie dough bites. Some ganache will remain for coating and assembly.
  5. Assemble Hats: Dip the smaller rounded end of each Rolo candy into the remaining ganache, then attach it to the flat side of an Oreo half to form a snowman hat. If using, dip a snowflake sprinkle into ganache and attach it where the Oreo meets the Rolo at the rim of the hat for extra decoration.
  6. Coat and Decorate Cookie Dough Balls: Roll each frozen dough scoop into a smooth ball. Using a fork, dip one dough ball into the ganache to coat it evenly. Gently press the coated ball onto a ganache round on the baking sheet. Before the chocolate ganache sets, decorate each snowman by attaching two black pearl sprinkles for eyes, creating a semicircle mouth with 3 to 4 black pearl sprinkles, placing one orange pearl sprinkle as the nose, and topping with the Oreo-Rolo hat. Repeat for all dough balls.
  7. Set and Serve: Allow the chocolate to set completely, about 15 to 20 minutes, before serving these charming snowman cookie dough bites.

Notes

  • Use edible cookie dough to ensure it is safe to consume without baking.
  • Scraping Oreo frosting is optional but adds to the final look and taste.
  • Ganache can be gently reheated if it starts to harden before dipping all the dough balls.
  • Snowflake sprinkles are optional but add a festive touch to the hats.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator to maintain freshness.
