For the Spicy Chicken Burgers:
- 1 lb lean ground chicken or ground turkey
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2–3 Tbsp Franks Red Hot Sauce or any hot sauce
For the Chipotle Aioli:
- 1/3 cup mayo
- 3 Tbsp fresh lemon, squeezed
- 2 tsp chili powder
- 2 tsp chipotle powder
- 1–2 tsp Franks Red Hot Sauce or any hot sauce of choice
Optional Toppings:
- sesame seed buns
- fresh sliced tomatoes
- spicy pickles
- red onion slices
- lettuce
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, hot sauce, minced garlic, olive oil, and spices. Mix well.
- Form burger patties. Make 4-5 patties of equal size.
- For the Air Fryer: Cook at 370ºF for 12-14 minutes until cooked through.
- For the Grill: Grill on medium to high heat until no longer pink in the center, about 5-6 minutes per side. Internal temperature should reach 165ºF.
- Prepare the Chipotle Aioli: Mix mayo, lemon juice, chili powder, chipotle powder, and hot sauce. Adjust seasonings to taste.
- Assemble the burgers: Serve the patties on buns or lettuce wraps, top with desired toppings, and drizzle with Chipotle Aioli.
