Instructions

  1. Prepare the Seasoned Chicken: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well incorporated. Then, shape the mixture into nugget-sized pieces using your hands or a small scoop.
  2. Flour Station: Mix the plain flour with the same seasonings used for the chicken. Divide the seasoned flour into two bowls, with 40g in one and the rest in the other.
  3. Wet Station: Beat the egg thoroughly in a small bowl.
  4. Coating the Nuggets: Lightly coat each nugget in the flour from the 40g bowl. Dip the floured nuggets into the beaten egg, then dredge again in the remaining seasoned flour for extra crunch.
  5. Baking the Nuggets: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Arrange the coated nuggets on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes, turning once halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Prepare the Hot Honey Dip (optional): Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir in Frank’s Red Hot Sauce, honey, and chili flakes. Heat until combined. Serve in a small bowl alongside the nuggets.
