Main Ingredients
- 1 Everything Bagel
- ½ tablespoon Salted Butter
- 2 large Eggs
- 1 slice Cheddar Cheese
- 1 slice American Cheese
- 2 slices Honey Ham
- ½ large Avocado
- 1 tablespoon Creamy Sriracha Sauce
- Kosher Salt, to taste
Instructions
- Toast the Bagel: Begin by toasting your everything bagel until it reaches your preferred level of crispness and golden brown color.
- Heat Butter in Skillet: While the bagel is toasting, place a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat and add the salted butter, allowing it to melt completely.
- Cook the Eggs: Crack the two large eggs into the skillet and sprinkle a pinch of kosher salt over them. When the edges start to set and the whites begin turning opaque, carefully flip the eggs and reduce the heat to medium or medium-low.
- Add Cheese to Eggs: Place one slice of cheddar cheese and one slice of American cheese on top of the eggs and stack them gently one on top of the other to melt.
- Warm Honey Ham: Move the cheese-topped eggs to one side of the skillet and add the two slices of honey ham to the other side. Warm the ham until it’s slightly browned and heated through.
- Prepare Avocado Spread: Once the bagel is toasted, spread the mashed half avocado onto the bottom half of the bagel, seasoning with a pinch of kosher salt.
- Assemble Sandwich: Layer the warmed honey ham on top of the cheese-covered eggs, then place this stack onto the avocado-spread bagel half. Smear the creamy sriracha sauce onto the inside of the top bagel half, then close the sandwich.
- Serve: Enjoy the sandwich immediately for the best texture and flavor, or wrap in tinfoil for a portable breakfast option later.
Notes
- Use an everything bagel for a flavorful, textured base.
- Adjust the spiciness by adding more or less creamy sriracha sauce.
- For a vegetarian option, substitute honey ham with tomato slices or sautéed mushrooms.
- Ensure the skillet is nonstick to prevent eggs and ham from sticking.
- This sandwich is best served fresh but can be wrapped and stored for up to 12 hours.
